Hi,
we’ve created a very tiny, under 12kB (3kB zipped) in size Plugin that automatically shares your WordPress Posts to your Bluesky Account.
First, download the Plugin here. After that, install and activate it through Plugins > Add New; or by uploading the unzipped plugin via FTP.
Current Version: 1.8 (Dec 2nd 2024)
Please update to 1.8, which supports custom domains in Bluesky. Download here. It also has now an automated check to A) check, if the post was already published through the Plugin and B) checks if the post was published within the last hour. If not, it’s skipped.
After activating, go to Settings > Bluesky Auto Post. In the “Handle” Field add your handle (f.ex. gooloode.bsky.social is just “gooloode” without the @). Then, go to your Bluesky Settings > App Passwords and create a new one. Or click here.
Add your App Password in the field for the App Password.
Then, you can add something before and after each post. In our case, we added “Neu auf gooloo.de” (“New on gooloo.de”) before our post and the hashtag #beauty after each post.
Whenever you post something, your post will be published together with the Post Name, URL, and featured Image as an Image Post to Bluesky. This looks like this:
Neu auf gooloo.de: Octenisan Dekontaminierende Waschlotion https://www.gooloo.de/2024/11/octenisan-dekontaminierende-waschlotion.html #beauty
— gooloo.de (@gooloode.bsky.social) 1. November 2024 um 12:00

You can leave the fields empty too, then only the post name and URL will be shared alongside the featured image.
You can also test if you’re connection is correct, by clicking “Test Connection”. A debug log will be created at > wp-content > bluesky-debug.log:
